Meet the team

Eric Beveridge, EP, President

Eric has over 25 years of experience in Alberta’s Environmental Sector, predominantly with the Water Act Operations Division with Alberta Environment, and environmental consulting.  His multi-faceted experience in the environmental industry has a proven track record of effectively coordinating environmental services while securing environmental approvals and authorizations in a timely manner. Eric has a functional understanding of the federal Fisheries Act, and the Public Lands Act, with extensive knowledge of the Water Act. His experience working on, and managing, the environmental components of a large variety of construction projects throughout Alberta including the SW Calgary Ring Road Project (2018), the Town of Canmore – Cougar Creek Debris Flood Retention Structure Project (2020 – current) and Town of Drumheller – Drumheller Resiliency and Flood Mitigation Program (2022 – current).

In 2016 Eric founded RIDGE Environmental Planning Ltd, a small consulting company assisting clients initially with environmental management at the construction phase of a project and implementing proper environmental management for projects. This included fish rescue operations, the development & implementation of TSS monitoring plans, written project-specific ECO Plans, and bird sweeps. Eric has since grown the company to provide more front-end services, involving environmental planning and regulatory support. Eric is proud of the reputation RIDGE has developed with his clients. With RIDGE now being a larger team than just him, his training, mentorship and guidance have helped develop a strong team of environmental professionals that cover a variety of scopes of work.  When not running RIDGE, Eric enjoys spending time with his family & participating in his kids’ lives, taking his two dogs for walks, spending time at the family cabin at Pigeon Lake and flyfishing.
